EHS Computer-Based Training

Welcome to EHS's computer-based training (CBT) page. Please select your CBT program from the list below.

Before you begin your computer-based program, it is important that you read the following notes
. There are some items you should be aware of regarding plug-ins and different web browsers. Answers to problems you may experience are also addressed in the notes. You may refer back to this page should your program not work correctly.

Current Computer-Based Training Modules and Quizzes

Important Notes Relating to the Authorware Web Player:

  • The Authorware Web Player can be downloaded and installed for free from Macromedia's website. Please note that Netscape users will need to run the installation file following download.

  • It is recommended to use the Internet Explorer web browser if you are running Windows, and Netscape Navigator if you are on a Macintosh. Please use Netscape Navigator Versions 4.06 and higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer Versions 4.0 and higher. If you need a newer version of a web browser, one can be obtained by clicking the icons below.

  • Internet Explorer for the Macintosh cannot be used for computer-based training due to problems with the Authorware Web Player. Please use Netscape Navigator if you are using a Mac.

  • If you are using Internet Explorer, you cannot have your Internet Security set on "High". Internet Explorer is by default set on "Medium".

  • The Authorware Web Player is not currently supported on Mac OS X. (See Macromedia's website for more information.) You will need to run the quiz in OS 9.x.

  • There have been problems with the installation of the Authorware Web Player for Netscape under Windows. The installation problem can be solved by clearing the browser's cache after installing the Web Player. To clear the cache in Netscape, follow these instructions.

  • You may use the computers at the NCI-Frederick Scientific Library to take quizzes and view training modules.
